PCUH organizes and sponsors conferences and symposia on a continuing basis, co-operating with other institutions interested in exploring scholarly and public discussions on the Ukrainian experience. Past events have included:
Ukrainian Language Assessment Symposium (2017)
Organized by PCUH, the symposium examined the use of the Common European Framework of Reference for Ukrainian language education and training, and was held October 13 -14, 2017 at the Musée Ukraina Museum, Saskatoon.
Managing Immigration: The Recent Canadian/ Ukrainian/ Saskatchewan Experience (2010)
A faculty/graduate student roundtable organized by PCUH in association with the Hnatyshyn Canadian Studies Centre held May 11-12, 2010 at Chernivtsi National University, Chernivtsi, Ukraine.
In Search of Voice: Oral History as Theory, Method and Source (2009)
An international scholarly symposium organized by the Oral History Program at PCUH in conjunction with the Kowalsky Eastern Institute of Ukrainian Studies, the Ukrainian Oral History Association, and the V. Karazin National University of Kharkiv. Held in Kharkiv, Ukraine on December 11-12, 2009.
Oral History and Socio-cultural Change (2006)
The first all-Ukrainian Oral History seminar co-organized with the Institute of Ethnology, National Academy of Sciences, L’viv, Ukraine.
Orality and Literacy in Contemporary Scholarship (2004)
International symposium co-organized with the Department of English and Department of History, University of Saskatchewan. Symposium held in conjunction with the Oral History of Collectivisation photo exhibit.
