Spring Session in Ukraine is conceived as an intensive language and culture program coordinated jointly by St. Thomas More College and the University of Saskatchewan. The program is offered overseas in Ternopil, Ukraine, in co-operation with a partner institution, Ternopil National Pedagogical University.
The program focuses on the areas of language and culture. Language courses are offered at the Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced levels and individual language tutoring is provided as part of the course package. In addition to the language courses, a culture course ANTH 233.3 (Anthropological Perspectives on Contemporary Ukraine) is offered. All courses are taught by instructors accredited at the University of Saskatchewan. Courses may be taken for university credit or audited. The program runs during the university’s spring session (May to early June) for a period of 5 weeks. During this time, students may earn up to 9 university credits.
