A nation-wide search was conducted by the PCUH to fill the position of the Petro Jacyk Fellowship in Ukrainian Studies. The candidate chosen, Oksana Dudko, will begin her appointment August 1. The position will be held in STM’s History Department. A historian of twentieth century Europe with a particular focus on violence, gender, and the cultural history of Ukraine, she will teach courses on Eastern Europe in the coming 2021-22 academic year. The last time a course on Ukrainian history taught at the University of Saskatchewan was the mid-1980s.
