It is with great pride and bittersweet tears that we will soon say goodbye to our current Director and one of the long-time pillars of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Natalia Khanenko-Friesen has been appointed to the coveted dual-position of Director of the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies and the Huculak Chair of Ukrainian Culture and Ethnography at the University of Alberta, beginning July 1st. To say that this is a well-deserved achievement is an understatement!
